Author and Personal Historian Mary Beth Lagerborg has loved interviewing people and writing their stories since her first job as assistant editor for Colorado Country Life magazine, traveling the Colorado back roads to interview the oldest flying farmer or the local rodeo queen.

After freelance writing for many years, Mary Beth served as book brand manager for a non-profit, working with authors, literary agents, editors, and mainstream publishers. She understands what it takes to bring a book from idea to print. Mary Beth loves working with individuals, families and businesses to preserve their stories. She strives to make the process is as pleasing for the client as the finished product.

As a full-time freelance writer and editor, D. Fran Morley has helped people sound better in print for more than 20 years. She was Content Editor for the Association of Personal Historians for 4 years, responsible for four quarterly journals, annual conference materials, and online content. She has written hundreds of feature articles on assignment for regional and national trade and general interest magazines, edited numerous books and special projects, and spent 6 years writing press releases and other content for a small southern city. Her greatest satisfaction is when a client says, “Yes! That's what I was trying to say.”

Jill Cournoyer runs The Portable Scribe out of her home in Maine. Her business provides transcription, proofreading, editing and research services. Her projects range from personal histories to multi-speaker interviews on public policy. In 2020 she trained in legal transcript proofreading as a specialty. She accepts jobs of all sizes from anywhere in the world. In her leisure time she loves reading, movies, outdoor activities (kayaking, Nordic skiing, walking), photography and working with the feral cat rescue group she founded in 1991.
